Holy smokes, it’s September already! How did that happen?!

The past few days have been so emotional for me. I watch my Facebook feed to see countless posts of the devastation in the Houston area from Hurricane Harvey. My heart is warmed and my faith in humanity is restored to see SO many people stepping up to help people and animals in need. We will be taking in some shelter dogs a as a temporary stop on their trips out of Texas to make room for Harvey evacuee pets. My Facebook feed is also full of posts of the devastation from fires in my home state of Montana. Over 500,000 acres have burned this summer. Farmers and ranchers are losing their livestock and livelihood to these fires. At the end of the post I’ll include links to organizations I feel have the best direct impact on  those in need in Texas and Montana.

Onto more uplifting pics of cute animals!

Pablo meets a Muppy!

When I was riding on Tuesday night I got a bug in my eyeball and it has looked like this since Tuesday night! It looks much worse than it feels.

Our goats like to play with and in their food.

Muppies Enter Week 5!

Y’all. The muppies are growing SO fast! They are eating mushy food. They can walk without tumbling over as much. They are VERY chatty!

Ready to RUN! They burst out the door whenever it opens now that they have their land legs.

They are transitioning to real dog food and water.

Gladys is one of my favorites. She is easy to tell apart from her siblings because her face is mostly white. Pics are fuzzy because puppies don’t stay still for long!

I *think* this is Kermit. He looks like he is going to have wiry hair like his Mum.

Sleep. Eat. Play. Repeat. This is the life of a muppy!

MUPdate!

I will start this post by telling you just how difficult it is to get decent photographs of 17 day old puppies! They were due for their first deworming so I took the opportunity to get photos of them whilst I was weighing and torturing them with Panacur. They range from 3.8lb to 1.8lb. They all have their eyes mostly open and are starting to walk. I’m pretty sure that within the next week or two they will be hell on wheels and able to climb out of their little pool in my tack room!

Animal. He is the chunk of the group!

Annie Sue was quite sleepy for her photo shoot and time in the scale.

Camilla was very cooperative and cute. Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.

Mary Louise was inquisitive and squirmy.

Betty Lou is PRECIOUS!

Gladys has the most striking coloring with an almost all white face.

His picture doesn’t quite do him justice, but Gonzo is also a pretty big boy.

Kermit is the smallest boy and he was the squirmiest! He tried real hard to get out of that scale and kept me on my toes!

Fozzie looks like a little fluffy bear.

Little Denise is the smallest of the muppies weighing in at 1.8 lb.

Last, but certainly not least, is little Rizzo!

Hopefully later this week and next weekend I will get some more good video. They are a very vocal and mobile crowd these days!
